A former Senior Computer Systems Designer for Martin Marietta Aerospace, computer geologist for Phillips Petroleum, and the first Technical Operations Manager for Cisco Systems. For over 20 years he has searched the remote monasteries of Egypt, Peru, and Tibet for the life-giving secrets that were encoded in the language of our most cherished traditions. His work has led to such pioneering books as The God Code, The Divine Matrix, The Spontaneous Healing of Belief and his newest Fractal Time. Gregg’s work is published in 17 languages and 27 countries and shows beyond any reasonable doubt that the key to our future lies in the wisdom of our past. Braden offers the scientifically orientated visitor to this site a source of similar background. Yet, at the surface his work seems very far from science and more bordering the meta-physical.

I have covered the law of attraction elsewhere on this site. The law of manifesting occurs in both sets of 7 laws of attraction. Gregg Braden seems to indicate that it is our emotions that is the key to letting our thoughts have a material impact on our every day reality.

He talks about spontaneous healing, how the ancient wisdom traditions have always understood that our hearts is the epicenter of creation - that what we feel is the most important part of creating the reality we desire. If you read my page on the 7 laws of attraction you will see that I go into some detail as to possible scientific and quantum physical explanations for this as well as some thoughts on the completely meta-physical views from Esther and Jerry Hicks (or Abraham which Esther channels) on the subject.

How does he contribute in terms of inducing consciousness? I think the western world is blind to what eastern and other traditions have lived and experienced for centuries. The key to the western mind being unlocked is the language of science, which Gregg Braden successfully deploys. He answers the question of what is spirituality in a more unconventional way (to westerners at least). At the same time his work contributes well to appreciating mindfulness exercises.

Finally, the below is a set of 11 interviews with him regarding "The Divine Matrix". It is interesting to note that the movie "The Matrix" has the same origin as this book. Max Planck first defined the concept of the matrix which is based on quantum physics. Just of fun I include agent Smith's famous speech made to Morpheus. There is big consciousness meaning in that speech as agent Smith is correct. Living in a state of unawareness or acting only from the unconscious we are destroying our planet. Living in consciousness we will not.
